Desserts in Garden Grove

Five desserts, no filler. Hot Gulab Jamun — warm milk dumplings in sticky sugar syrup — is the non-negotiable ending to a Punjabi meal, served hot so the syrup soaks properly. Ras Malai answers it chilled: soft cheese dumplings in cardamom-scented sweetened milk, the elegant choice after a heavy meal. Hot Gajar Ka Halwa brings the winter classic of slow-cooked carrots and milk, and the kulfi pair — Rose & Pistachio, and Gulab Jamun Kulfi with pieces of the syrup classic folded through — covers the frozen end with dense, slow-melting Indian ice cream.

Why Urban Punjab Desserts

After a karahi at full heat, the hot gulab jamun is medicine; after tandoori, the chilled ras malai and kulfis do the cooling. Portion advice from the dining room: one gulab jamun order per two people for politeness, one per person for honesty — and kulfi rewards whoever waits the extra two minutes for it to soften. Sweet endings are structural in Punjabi dining, not optional.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is kulfi, compared to ice cream?+

Kulfi is made from milk slowly reduced rather than cream churned, so it's denser, slower-melting and more intensely milky. Ours comes in Rose & Pistachio and Gulab Jamun versions.

Which dessert is served hot?+

Two of them — Hot Gulab Jamun and Hot Gajar Ka Halwa arrive warm by design. Ras Malai and both kulfis are served chilled.

Do desserts travel for delivery?+

Gulab jamun and gajar ka halwa travel beautifully and reheat in seconds. Ras malai and kulfi are packed cold and hold for the short delivery runs around Garden Grove.
