Seafood in Garden Grove

Punjab is landlocked, but Amritsar made fried fish famous anyway — river fish in a spiced gram-flour batter, sold hot off the karahi in the lanes around the Golden Temple. Our Amrit Sari Fish is that tradition: spiced gram-flour batter, fried until it shatters. Tandoori shrimp takes the tandoor route — big shrimp in a yogurt-spice marinade, skewered and roasted until the edges char and the centers stay sweet — while Chili Shrimp gives the same shrimp the Indo-Chinese wok treatment, and Shrimp Curry simmers them gently in a subtle, richly flavoured gravy. Four dishes, done the Indian and Pakistani way, all cooked strictly to order, because seafood held under a lamp is seafood ruined.

Our Seafood Menu

Why Urban Punjab Seafood

A compact seafood menu, for a deliberate reason: we only carry what the tandoor, wok and fry station can do perfectly. The batter is mixed for each service and the shrimp marinade is the same masala family as our chicken tikka — Punjabi through and through, not a fusion afterthought. Both plates come off the heat within minutes of your order and go straight to the table, because seafood timing is non-negotiable.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Amritsari-style fish?+

A north Indian classic: fish battered in spiced chickpea flour with carom seeds and fried crisp. It's Punjab's answer to fish and chips and predates it in our hearts.

Is the seafood cooked to order?+

Yes — every seafood dish is battered, skewered or wok-fired when the ticket prints; seafood held under a lamp is seafood ruined.

How spicy are the seafood dishes?+

Amrit Sari Fish carries a warm, tangy batter heat; tandoori shrimp is medium by default; Chili Shrimp runs hotter and Shrimp Curry gentler. All can be adjusted when you order.
