Tandoori & Kebabs in Garden Grove

The tandoor is the heart of this kitchen — a clay oven running hot enough to blister naan in seconds and put real char on chicken tikka without drying it out. This is the section our name promises: chicken tikka platters boneless or classic, malai tikka in its Afghani-style cream marinade, kali mirch tikka built on cracked black pepper instead of red chili, and seekh kebabs hand-pressed from spiced ground chicken or lamb — including a lamb-and-cheese version you will not find at most OC Indian spots. Every skewer is marinated overnight, cooked to order, and served off the flame with grilled onions and our mint chutney.

Why Urban Punjab Tandoori & Kebabs

Most restaurants buy pre-marinated skewers; ours are built in-house daily, and the tandoor is fired for every service rather than resting on a grill. That is why the tikka comes out juicy with smoke in it — and why this category carries more customer favorites than any other.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between tikka and seekh kebab?+

Tikka is marinated chunks of meat skewered and roasted in the tandoor; seekh kebab is seasoned ground meat pressed around the skewer. Tikka eats leaner, seekh richer — the mixed order covers both.

Which tandoori item is mildest?+

Chicken malai tikka — the Afghani-style cream and cheese marinade keeps it gentle and rich. Kali mirch is medium with pepper warmth; the classic tikka can be spiced to your level.

Is everything from the tandoor halal?+

Yes. All chicken and lamb in this section is halal, marinated and cooked in-house.
